The IBAO Model

IBAO for grades K-5 is a Islamic-based, fully online, system-graded educational program. Students have access to: 

• Daily online lessons

• Weekly Live Q&A sessions with teachers and students in the same cohort

• Daily activities and homework/assignments

• Teacher support for concept clarification from 9 am to 3 pm (EST)

Curriculum

IBAO delivers an excellent American academic program where English is the primary language of instruction, although all students study French and Arabic or French and Arabic as a Foreign Language. The English and Mathematics curriculum is based upon the US Common Core Standards (CCS) and AERO (American Education Reaches Out) standards, with Science applying the US Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). 

 

The AERO Standards are supported by the U.S. State Department’s Office of Overseas Schools Advisory Council to assist schools in developing and implementing America standards-based school curricula. AERO standards provide a framework for curriculum consistency from Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 12 and for stability in curriculum in overseas schools. AERO’s curriculum and resources are in alignment to, and work concurrently with, the US Common Core standards.

Lower elementary students are guided by inspiring teachers to develop their academic, social, emotional and creative potential.  We provide a broad and balanced curriculum which prepares our students to embrace independent learning, collaborative teamwork, and responsible decision making.

Our Islamic curriculum is embedded in the teaching and learning of Quran, Arabic, and Islamic Studies. Quran encompasses the memorization and retention of Quranic Surahs and Ayats. Arabic encompasses the Arabic vocabulary and grammar. Islamic studies encompasses various strands of Islam, such as Islamic History, Seerah of prophet Muhammad Salallaahu alayhi wassalaam, Prophets and Companions stories, Aqeedah, Salaah, Du’as and Fiqh.
